Aiden and Avery Van Laar Sign with Truett McConnell University Mountain Bike Team

Avery Van Larr and Aiden Van Larr

It’s always bittersweet when our seniors graduate. Avery and Aiden Van Laar are not only two of the nicest kids you will ever meet, they’re awesome mountain bike riders and true ambassadors of our program.

While we’re sad to see them move on from OCMTB (although rumor has it they may be coming back to help coach!), we are excited to announce they have signed with Truett McConnell University and will join their mountain bike team in the Fall!

The Van Laar’s have made mountain biking and OCMTB a family affair.  Not only have Avery and Aiden raced with us since the 7th grade, but their parents, Carly and Brandon, are dedicated coaches who have been essential to our program’s success. The apple doesn’t fall from the tree. Avery and Aiden could always be seen encouraging and mentoring our younger riders both at practice and on race day. They are shining examples of the values OCMTB and the Georgia Cycling Association embody.

We wish them success and can’t wait to see what the future holds for them!
